MakeWay Features

MakeWay is simple.

  • Company admins create spaces for clients.
  • In each space, users can send messages (grouped in "Threads"), share files, and create events.
  • Users can add or one many clients to a Space.
  • Users can also add one or many "company members" to a Space (colleagues and employees).
  • When a user adds a new Client, a dedicated client space is automatically created (no need to create it manually).

Here are some key features:

Client Portal Features

This includes standard client portal features, like managing users (both clients and your company members) and allowing your clients to see relevant information (messages, files, events). Clients can also share files and reply on message threads, but they cannot create new message threads.

Secure sharing with Spaces

MakeWay allows company users to share messages, files, and events to Spaces, instead of sharing directly to clients. This provides way more flexibility, since company admins can decide what clients and company members have access to spaces.

For clients to log in and see their information, they have to have access to the email in your MakeWay's client data.

Seamless Sign Up and Log In

Signing up is extremely easy. Users enter their email to sign up or log in. MakeWay uses passwordless log in, so no need to remember yet another password. Users enter their email and they receive an email with a login link. The email also has a One-Time Password (OTP) they can use to log in.

Passwordless log in eliminates the risk of stolen passwords. The only way to log in is to have access to the email.

Multiple companies and spaces with the same user

Users are tied to emails. Using the company selection screen, a user can switch between managing company and entering Spaces as a client.

Branded

Showcase your logo and colors for a professional, yet personal, client experience.

MakeWay doesn't provide a fully white-label experience yet, that is, displaying only client logos (not MakeWay's) and running in custom domains.

Mobile friendly

Use all features in any device that can run a web browser (PC, Mac, laptop, tablet, phone, VR headset with browser, TV with a browser).

Messaging

Message your clients directly in MakeWay and keep everything in one place.

Messages are grouped in Threads that users can create, so you can keep your conversations organized by subject.

File management and sharing

Share files to client spaces and keep them organized in your company's File Library.

We will soon add tags for further organization.

Events

Create and schedule events so you and your clients never miss a meeting or deadline.

User roles

Flexible but simple user roles to keep things clear.

  • Company Admin: can do everything. Gives Company Members access to Spaces.
  • Company Member: can do everything only in Spaces to which they have been granted access.
  • Client: can reply to messages and upload files, only in Spaces which they have access to.
